Personally, I think it's worth paying more for a phone that's more convenient to carry around, pretty exclusive and unlike any other phone out there, and one that showcases new innovation in the smartphone market.

As of right now, folding phones definitely aren't for everyone. But they're undoubtedly getting to a point where the compromises are more minuscule than ever before, and I could see these selling pretty well amongst tech enthusiasts and those who just want a unique phone.
