That's a good and valid point. This is one disadvantage electric vehicles have over hydrogen vehicles (due to the added curb weight). Although possibly replacing these parts prematurely may be a slight annoyance, I don't think the cost of these components (in the long run) would be enough to offset the insanely high price of hydrogen.
